PHOENIX (english poetry)

A little revenge poem I wrote, dedicated to an ancient significant of mine. May he burn in peace.

    1. Ah, I still often hold painful thoughts about him, but I always try to nest in the bright ones.
Deep within, I want him to be happy, and I want the same for myself.
As always, thank you so much for reading.

  1. beautifully done; of course the hurt and pain are there in all their fiery glory, but somehow in my reading of this poem, i feel an undercurrent of longing that goes beyond just the thought of revenge: those lines that begin “Without you…” are a refrain of love that has been lost. i really enjoyed this one!

    1. Mariah!
All my “vengeful” poetics are watered with some sprinkles of “saudade”, the untranslatable word that seems to plague every portuguese artist. There is a longing, we long for everything.
Thank you so much, as always, you are awesome ❤
